Malachi 3:15-17 JB "....Now we have reached the point when we call the arrogant blessed; yes, they prosper, these evildoers, they try God's patience and yet go free." This is what those who fear Yahweh used to say to one another. But Yahweh took note and heard them: a book of remembrance was written in his presence recording them who fear him and take refuge in his name.
Hushed as the gap between ticks of the clock, you hear each one of my mutters and moans. Even my eye-rolls have a sound—a low-frequency click only you and the dog can hear. I can see how it would be difficult to keep it all straight. I have to write things down to remember them, too. Is there a scribbling angel whose job it is just to take your notes? Does he wear a half-chewed pencil behind his right ear? And do his fingers ache, writing down all of the complaints you hear from our bent bodies and souls? It must be a roaring cacophony of a list from all of us who seek relief in the shadow of the Silence who is beyond all things.
