Fat green stalactites hang from eaves and leaves:
Strung up by yellow and black caterpillars, cocoons
could be beans or bullets – chambers of change
awaiting darkening before the hatch
when church-window wings unfurl, unsteady
until a white sunlight miracle: drying for flying.
